Magazine Commons

A former Salvation Army building and the vacant lot next door were developed into a 20,000 square foot urban retail center. Originally slated for parking, the lot became a courtyard bustling with activity. Parking was instead taken off of the valuable Magazine Street frontage and is accessed via a new drive cut through the existing building. The existing building's spare International-style appearance was maintained and inspired the architecture of the rest of the project.
